Saws are industrial tools that are widely encountered in the carpentry world and in every home at least one or two saws. Here, we want to give you simple tips on how to store your chainsaw properly and take care it doesn’t rust and doesn’t rust in the long term. Few people can care for and store this tool, only use it, but are not cared for properly put it just in any place which eventually ends up rusting and dull. What are the tips to keep the saw sharp and not rust?

1. Do not leave the Saw blade exposed at room temperature. Putting the saw at room temperature for a long time, the saw blade will slowly rust. Cover the saw blade with a saw cover/guard. Can cover it with Plastic/Newspaper.

2. Store the saw by hanging. Do not put the saw anywhere. Avoid placing the saw mixed with other toolboxes, because it will bump and rub against other tools, which will cause reduced sharpness of the saw.

3. Every few months, sharpen the saw blade to keep it sharp. Use anti-rust liquid or oil on the blades to avoid possible rust.

4. Use a saw according to its function, avoid cutting stone or iron
