Bali, Ceremony, and Tolerance
Indonesia is an archipelagic country, each island in Indonesia has a unique way of life. One of them is the island of Bali, where most people are Hindus who have ritual routines that are regularly carried out, namely praying or worshiping. Prayer is a religious activity relates to God. In Hinduism, various kinds of prayers are presented based on several holy days. Ritualizing this activity by implementing different rules, such as time and prayer procedures. Worship can be done at the house’s spiritual temple or the spiritual temple in the area.
At the Bali factory office of iCan Indonesia (PT Aqualine), we have routine activities that we regularly do, namely the Mecaru ceremony and continued with the Piodalan prayer ceremony (odalan). Piodalan comes from the word Wedal which means to be born. Piodalan (odalan) is celebrated and described as the birthday of a temple or religious architecture. It can be interpreted as Piodalan / Pujawali / Petoyan time (if in humans it is like a birthday). This ceremony worships God Almighty, to establish a peaceful and wealthy community living, and to propose for mutual safety to fend off negative or bad things. So that only positive energy exists where we work, and to maintain a balance or harmonious relationship between humans and God, fellow humans, and with the universe.
Here we cherish and respect religion and way of life in Indonesia. In a ceremony that is frequently held in our office, all employee & management teams of any religion take part in this worship.
