Luneta CMP Sight Glass Replacement Kit for 3/4" Pods / Sight Glass Oil MonitoringThe CMP's sight glass is made of the patented Tritan™ copolyester, one of the most impact and chemically resistant materials available. However should the impossible happen and the CMP's sight glass need to be replaced, this kit will do the job.
Installation Instructions :
- Drop oil machine below port opening of sight glass device to minimize spillage
- Remove old sight glass by completely unthreading locknut and pulling sight glass away from device
- Remove locknut from old sight glass by removing the old magnet and indicator and then sliding locknut off of old sight glass
- Slide locknut onto new Tritan ™ sight glass
- Remove red cap from new magnet
- Use pliers or similar tool to tightly therad new indicator and magnet into the threaded port on the Tritan ™ sight glass
- Ensure O-rings on indicator and magnet compress and create a good seal
- Apply the supplied O-ring lubricant to O-ring on Tritan ™ sight glass and a little on locknut threads
- Pust Tritan ™ sight glass into device so that O-ring is properly seated and then tighten locknut
- Be carefull not to cross-thread or pinch the O-ring
- Orientate the sight glass so the magnet is at the buttom
- Ensure all components are properly installed and then return oil level in machine to proper level
